Progress

Our first post. Our first update.
I have returned to San Francisco. The Aeolian Shawl is almost done! I can't wait to start on my first real Orenburg project. How is everyone else doing? Updates, please.

  1. Hello,

Glad you made it back home safe and that you made this group up.
I've started Galina's Diamond Triangular Shawl.
I am using the Cashmere I got at the Retreat.

    How is every one else?

Terre Haute, IN. is still the same.

  2. Hi Val!

What's it like to work in Cashmere?! I am going to perfect the technique as I haven't worked with lace before and then next year I'm saving for some Cashmere! I hope it's good that Terre Haute is the same? Hope so.

  3. Laura you are a genius! I'm technologically impaired so this looks like rocket science to me! Thank you for doing this. I can't believe you are almost done with that shawl. Will you show us?!

How are your parents? Hope the long journey back went well.

I'm working on the scarf, but have taken out as much as I've knitted. Don't mind a bit. The journey is half of the enjoyment for me...(that's what we-who-never-finish-projects say). I better light a fire though because I'm getting together with Katherine-Kathy when she gets back from Florida and she's going to want to see some action! Hope you're well!

  5. Hello everyone,

    Miss you.

I worked on a VERY Large Shawl project called, Orenburg Lace Starwberries. I found it on line but the pattern has many mistakes. But after un knitting half of it. I found the mistakes.. Yeah.
    So back on track again.

What are you guys working on?

Giving a Class on beginning Socks, wish me luck.

  6. I just got done Blocking the Russian Lace Scarf in Piecework Magazine May/June 2008 page 12. The pattern is by: Galina Khmeleva.

I made it out of Jojoland Red Cashmere, less then 400 yards. I used a size 2 needle.
It took me one week to knit. I also made only 5 Repeats of the Bowtie motif.
